Inspector II

Hours:
AWW 1st Shift, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
About The Opportunity We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Inspector to join our dynamic team. As an Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance before reaching our customers. You will be responsible for performing detailed inspections of parts and assemblies using a variety of tools and techniques, interpreting engineering drawings, and working closely with production and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Inspect products using various inspection gages, scales, and visual inspection prior to product shipment
Perform complex geometric layout inspection using standard variable gaging and relative mathematics
Prepare and submit first‑article inspections to customer requirements
Verify certifications and testing of incoming raw materials
Function as Designated Quality Representative for various customers to release products for shipment
Examine material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and other surface irregularities
Compare product with applicable parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly
Verify dimensional compliance of all products with drawing and customer requirements
Interpret engineering drawings and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards
Perform in‑process inspection and testing of products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with all applicable mechanical and process related requirements
Required Qualifications
High school or equivalent
3 years of experience in a Quality Control function in a commercial or aerospace environment (recommended)
Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English
Must be able to understand and interpret customer drawings and engineering sketches
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Physical Requirements
Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of time
