Impact You'll Make Now is a great time to join our Danfoss Power Solutions team in Forest City! We are seeking to hire an experienced, motivated Manufacturing Engineer who designs, develops, and implements manufacturing processes to facilitate cost reductions and continuous improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cycle time. This role works closely with others on concerns related to one or more work cells. This role is accountable for all engineering‑related concerns in the assigned work cell(s) and provides support to other work cells and projects as needed. Relocation is available.

What You’ll Be Doing

Establishes, maintains, and periodically audits product standards and specifications, bills of material and process routers, hazard identifications, process FMEAs.

Establishes, analyzes, and achieves targets for projects related to customer product design, problem‑solving activities, process improvement, cost reductions.

Serves as owner of product prototypes, samples and cost estimates; introduction of new or revised product and process; process development and capital project; work cell value‑stream maps and process FMEAs; physical asset inventories for assigned work cell(s).

Serves as member, support and/or lead of various teams/functions (supplier and/or material evaluations; continuous improvement events; customer product development; safety and quality improvement; problem solving).

What We’re Looking For

Required qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Some experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Computer/software proficiency including MS Office applications and AutoCAD.

SAP and/or ERP system knowledge.

Job Criteria

Knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing tools and concepts.

Proven project management and problem‑solving abilities.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Demonstration of excellent written and oral communication skills.

Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship both now and in the future.
