Employment Specialist , you’ll support individuals with substance use and co‑occurring disorders in achieving their career goals. Using evidence-based practices, you’ll provide guidance, skill‑building, and ongoing support to help clients obtain and maintain employment of their choice—transforming challenges into opportunities for success.

What You’ll Do:

Provide

vocational counseling, career exploration, and planning

tailored to each client’s strengths and aspirations.

Develop

job opportunities and community connections

that align with client needs.

Offer

on-the-job training, coaching, and support

to ensure lasting employment success.

Facilitate

career planning classes and vocational groups

to build skills and confidence.

Collaborate with the

Employment Team

and community partners to deliver high-quality services.

Maintain accurate records, track progress, and contribute to program outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree: Associates degree or College coursework equivalent (2 years) and 2 years work experience in behavioral health field; OR high school diploma and minimum of 4 years of experience in behavioral health field.

RSS Certification or comparable Mental Health Certification and lived experience compatible with person served required.

Ability to complete training as may be required for position and program assigned.

Knowledge of Psychiatric Rehabilitation is desirable.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must maintain an acceptable driving record and be insurable at a reasonable rate under the Organization’s auto insurance plan.

Must be proficient in Microsoft 365. Must be able to navigate through electronic health records system (EHR).
