Working Title:

Assistant/Associate/Professor of Behavioral Health

We are seeking an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor for tenure‑track, regular title series, full‑time (12‑month) positions in the Markey Cancer Center and the Department of Behavioral Science in the College of Medicine at the University of Kentucky. The ideal candidate will have a dynamic, productive research portfolio, active extramural grant support, and a strong focus on implementation science within the cancer care continuum. Experience in patient and community engagement, health equity, and dissemination of evidence‑based practices to real‑world settings is essential.

Job Summary We seek a seasoned implementation scientist with a dynamic, productive research portfolio and active extramural grant support who aims to accelerate the dissemination and implementation of evidence‑based practices in real‑world settings to reduce the burden of cancer and health disparities. The ideal candidate will have NIH‑funded research or a very strong promise of such funding; maintain a focus on community‑level factors that impact cancer vulnerability; aspire to engage in research mentorship; and contribute to a vibrant environment of scholars from the behavioral sciences, public health, social sciences, communication, health services research, biomedical informatics, health sciences (nursing, medicine, nutrition, etc.), and others.

Qualifications

Ph.D. or equivalent in Behavioral Sciences, Public Health, Social Sciences, Communication, Health Services Research, Bioinformatics, Health Sciences, or related fields.

Demonstrated research experience in implementation science.

Experience with cancer‑related interests including risk reduction/prevention (e.g., HPV vaccination, tobacco, obesity), screening, treatment, survivorship, and/or end‑of‑life.

Training and experience in cancer care delivery, patient/community engagement, and health equity strongly desired.

Active extramural grant support or strong potential for NIH or equivalent funding.
