Des Moines Menace, part of the Krause Group is seeking a highly motivated individual for a paid, part‑time internship in spring and summer. The role involves leading the development and execution of video and photo content for the team across social media, broadcast, venue entertainment, and communication.
Responsibilities
Design eye‑catching materials that promote the Des Moines Menace: printed materials, digital graphics, video content for social media, broadcast and in‑venue entertainment.
Collaborate, plan and execute compelling content that fulfills branding goals, marketing plans and sponsor activation.
Coordinate and execute video and photo shoots/projects.
Stay on top of trends within video, sports social media and motion graphics/animation industries.
Update and maintain asset management and multimedia databases.
Work home matches in May–August, dedicating full days to game‑day set up, fan service and post‑game tear down.
Cover club activities including matches, training sessions, press conferences, player appearances and events; assist with pre‑season events such as Open Cup and youth programs, and in‑season events such as summer camps, player appearances and community events.
Maintain confidentiality for sensitive club information.
Other projects and duties as directed by Menace Soccer Operations Manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or working towards a degree, in Media Production, Film, Photography, TV preferred.
Minimum 1–2 years of video editing and shooting experience; ability to provide a portfolio.
Experience with content management systems.
Show proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and related tools.
Display a high level of competency in all areas of video production: lighting, sound, motion graphics, color correction and publishing.
Ability to be detail oriented, problem‑solve and communicate with colleagues in a fast‑paced environment.
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Strong communication and writing skills.
Passion for engaging audiences, storytelling, outside‑the‑box thinking and pushing creative boundaries of sports video content.
Proven team player willing to work flexible hours including long days, nights and weekends.
Passion for sports; knowledge of soccer preferred.
