Maintenance Supervisor (2nd Shift, M-F)
Ocean Spray is hiring for a Maintenance Supervisor (2nd Shift, M-F) role. We’re a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. Job Summary The 2nd Shift (2:30 p‑11 p) Maintenance Supervisor will manage plant maintenance in coordination with the day‑shift maintenance supervisor. You will ensure timely and productive maintenance of plant equipment and systems to maximize possible production time, direct maintenance and support staff, assist budget planning, and promote plant FSQA initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Direct, coordinate and facilitate the daily activities of a team of skilled employees to ensure safe, timely, cost‑effective completion of both preventative and corrective maintenance.
Maintain standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance; leverage cost‑effective technology to maximize production; preserve fixed assets; initiate recommendations for new equipment purchases.
Assist in developing the maintenance budget, monitor plant spending, and report on operating costs; alert management to cost and labor overruns and recommend solutions.
Work with plant functional managers to develop and maintain a positive employee relations environment; advise on labor issues including safety, security, scheduling, training, grievances, and policy compliance.
Collaborate with Human Resources to hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff; take corrective action as necessary in accordance with company policy.
Work with EHS to ensure environmental compliance activities and requirements are met.
Encourage all staff to report food safety issues and initiate immediate corrective actions.
Qualifications
BS/BA in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or related major, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations.
Strong ability to influence, lead, work in a team or independently.
Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
Good facilitation and training skills.
Education Required: Bachelor’s or University Degree.
