Pay Range Base pay range $14.00/hr - $14.00/hr. Actual pay based on skills and experience.
Summary / Objective Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, the Retail Production Associate is responsible for sorting, pricing and preparing merchandise for sale according to production and workflow standards. This position also ensures a positive customer experience and product workflow in both the front and back of the store.
Responsibilities
Sort, inspect, tag, hang, and prepare donated items for sale per company standards.
Price items per pricing standards and enter in POS system.
Meet and exceed individual production goal.
Prioritize safety and follow Agency safety policies and procedures; communicate safety issues and concerns.
Prepare, stock, and clean the production station before and after every shift.
Follow all merchandise and theft prevention policies and procedures.
Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy while interacting with customers, donors, and team members.
Comply with all Agency policies and procedures.
Additional Assignments
Receiving donations.
Placement of goods to the sales floor.
General store upkeep and cleaning.
Assisting customers and/or operating a cash register.
Operating a hand stacker and pallet jack.
Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum age 18 years old.
Basic mathematical and literacy skills in English.
Quickly assess donated goods and determine appropriate handling and pricing to meet production standards.
Work in a fast-paced, goal driven environment.
Basic computer skills.
Commitment to mission of the organization.
Stand for long periods, frequently bend, kneel, reach, stoop, squat, and push.
Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and dust.
Flexible schedule based on business needs.
Previous experience in thrift or warehouse processing work is a plus.
Lift and carry items weighing up to or exceeding 50 pounds.
Transport item up to 100 pounds by pushing or pulling up to 100 pounds.
Handle repetitive motions including reaching above head.
Learn operation of hand stacker and pallet jack.
Learn handling cash and operation of cash register.
Work Hours / Travel
Work schedule assigned onsite at assigned retail location.
Flexible schedule to support retail locations open 7 days per week, 10am – 8pm.
Hours may vary including nights, weekends, holidays.
Work Environment Warehouse environment with donated goods back room and retail environment with merchandise displays and items available for purchase in inventory.
Physical Demand Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing all day. Frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Vision required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
