About the Role The Regional Production Lead is responsible for overseeing multi-location seed production across assigned regions in North America. This role provides strategic and hands‑on leadership for field production, grower contracting, quality and yield performance, and people development. The position works closely with commercial, processing, and sales teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality seed supply aligned with production and business targets.

The ideal candidate brings strong seed production expertise, local agronomic knowledge, and a collaborative leadership approach, with the ability to balance operational execution and continuous improvement.

Production & Field Management

Lead and oversee seed production across multiple locations, including regular on‑site travel.

Maintain direct involvement in local production activities, leveraging knowledge of regional production practices and grower networks.

Develop and maintain production targets related to quality, yield, and volume.

Responsibility to have phytosanitary inspection requests completed and coordinate with state agencies as required.

Work with Regional Commercial leadership to support crop release decisions based on quality and quantity.

Provide leadership and development for Field Representatives and Production Location Managers.

Support onboarding and training for new species production and promote best practices in seedsmanship.

Conduct season‑end performance reviews and develop continuous improvement plans.

Develop and manage grower contracts, including pricing strategies that are competitive while meeting quality and supply objectives.

Maintain and update a base‑rate yield file by location.

Ensure grower contracts comply with indemnity requirements and intellectual property protection standards.

Report regularly on contracting progress, production status, yield forecasts, and quality updates.

Production Systems & Documentation

Oversee field production management tools, including mobile data collection and reporting systems.

Develop and maintain a standardized production manual covering all species produced, including planting methods, irrigation, pest management, pollination, and harvest considerations.

Parental Seed Management

Develop and implement a parental seed management program for all species produced in North America.

Monitor and maintain parental seed quality, reporting immediately on any actual or potential genetic, pathological, or physiological issues.

Processing & Cross‑Functional Support

Collaborate with processing location leaders to coordinate stock seed packaging, harvest timing, and volume planning.

Support processing operations as needed to ensure efficient and timely seed movement.

Manage and support POA (custom seed production) sales activities, including stock seed receipt and storage.

Manage customer contracts, terms, and sales prospecting activities related to custom production.

Qualifications & Experience

Demonstrated experience in seed production, agronomy, or agricultural operations management.

Strong knowledge of local seed production practices and grower communities, particularly in the Warden, WA region.

Proven people leadership experience, including coaching and performance management.

Experience with grower contracting, pricing, and production reporting.

Familiarity with seed quality standards, regulatory requirements, and phytosanitary processes.

Comfortable using digital field management and reporting tools.

Willingness and ability to travel regularly between production locations.

Preferred Skills

Experience managing multiple crop species.

Knowledge of intellectual property protection in seed production.

Strong organizational, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on execution.
