The Quality Engineer is a senior professional responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards while improving quality processes and reducing defects. This position works closely with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and support product development. Essential Functions

Ensure that supplied materials and products comply with relevant quality standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements. Participate and/or lead in problem‑solving activities with cross‑functional teams including Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Product Support Engineering to identify the cause of non‑conformances and implement appropriate corrective actions. Train and mentor other QEs in specific areas of expertise and experience related to core area of product knowledge. Work and develop cross‑functional teams to meet company quality, cost, and delivery metrics. Develop and maintain QA work instructions, check sheets, and inspection instructions. Be able to develop, organize, and implement inspection and gauge plans for new and/or improved processes. Perform process audits for manufacturing and inspection to ensure compliance for machining, assembly, and inspection are accurate and being followed. Validate and verify measurement techniques and data are sound, and reporting is accurate (CMM, inspections, lab, etc.). Perform capability studies and part layouts on the CMM and other measurement equipment to produce Initial Sample Inspection Reports for Engineers. Work cooperatively with shop personnel to identify and resolve any nonconforming issues that are evident. Prepare statistical information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Oversee and ensure good containment processes to limit risk of non‑conforming materials or processes. Qualifications

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Management, Administration or Engineering/Technical discipline required – with a minimum of 6 years of experience in a relevant Quality Assurance environment; Graduate degree with a minimum of 4 years’ experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with machining and inspection of parts made from large aluminum castings. 6 Sigma green belt, yellow belt, or black belt certification. Knowledge of basic Statistical Process Control. Familiarity with CMM function and programming to validate data and dimensional reports. Skilled in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to work in a team, be flexible, and self‑starter with the desire to solve any problem and work in a startup‑like environment. Experienced with application of Statistical Process Control techniques. Experienced with statistical process analysis for sources of variation and determination of process capabilities. Familiar with metrology techniques, measurement tools, data collection, and NDT methods. Ability to read, interpret, and communicate drawing and product specifications to others. Strong problem‑solving, root cause, and corrective action skills, including tools. Utilize and teach good practice and verifications of measurement techniques, MSA, Gage R&R. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experienced with 5S principles and lean concepts in manufacturing. Position Requirements
