Overview
We are seeking a
Field Service Technician
to join
WECO, A Duravant Company . The role involves traveling to customer sites to install, commission, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and provide training for our electronic sorting equipment used in the fruit, nut, hops, and small fruit processing sectors.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
EE, EET, EECS or Industrial Electronics degree is a plus.
Strong mechanical and electrical background required.
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to obtain a passport.
Experience traveling extensively, up to 75% during season, including overnight stays and weekends away.
Responsibilities
Conduct field service calls for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, repairs, retrofits, and training.
Provide technical support via phone/email and on–site troubleshooting.
Maintain accurate documentation of all service activities.
Assist in equipment reliability feedback and collaborate with quality engineering.
Comply with all safety practices and company protocols.
Requirements
Minimum age 21 years.
Travel for a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 4 weeks per assignment.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds.
Physical & Work Environment Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, walking, talking, hearing, and driving. Occasional climbing and work in high places. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate cold and heat, moderate noise, and fumes or airborne particles.
