A New England-based leader in industrial compressed‑air systems is adding a new Air Compressor Field Service Technician to their Rockland, MA team. This is for a technician who wants a long‑term home, real training, and a clear path to advance. You’ll start each morning at the Rockland shop at 6 am, load your truck with the right parts, then head out to customer sites across New England. The first 4‑6 months, you’ll shadow seasoned pros and learn how to service, repair, and install industrial air compressors, air dryers, piping systems, and related equipment. Once trained, you’ll run your own calls, solve complex issues on‑site, and be trusted as the face of the company. They’re looking for a mechanically gifted, reliable, sharp‑minded technician who wants to master the trade, show up strong every day, and hold themselves to a high safety standard. Base pay range
$62,400.00/yr - $93,600.00/yr Responsibilities
Start daily at the Rockland shop to pick up tools, parts, and job assignments Travel to customer sites within a 1–1.5‑hour radius Occasional earlier departures for long‑distance calls Shadow senior technicians for 4–6 months to learn diagnostics, repairs, and installations Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on air compressors, air dryers, and related systems Diagnose electrical and mechanical failures in the field using diagnostic tools and software Install compressors, dryers, copper/aluminum piping, and rigging equipment as needed Document service work through work‑order systems and communicate findings to customers and the internal team Maintain a clean driving record, follow all safety protocols, and participate in ongoing random drug screenings Operate independently once trained, managing service calls, customer communication, and equipment care Keep service vehicle, tools, and equipment organized and well‑maintained Requirements
Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting ability Reliable, consistent attendance Clean driving record and ability to pass ongoing drug tests, including cannabis Willingness to learn, take direction, and complete a structured 4–6 month training program Ability to travel up to 1–1.5 hours for jobs, with occasional longer drives or overnight stays Comfortable working with tools, piping systems, electrical components, and heavy equipment Local to Rockland, MA Ability to lift, install, and maneuver industrial equipment safely 3–5 years of compressed air industry experience preferred Experience with copper/aluminum piping systems preferred Electrical troubleshooting skills preferred Prior work in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical systems preferred Rigging and installation experience Benefits
