We are seeking an
Accountant
for our location in
Bala Cynwyd, PA . This is a full-time, onsite opportunity, with a hybrid work-from-home option available on Fridays.
This position will report to the Assistant Controller and work on maintaining accurate accounts for a fleet of government owned ships over multi-year contract periods.
Job Responsibilities
Prepares internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information.
Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports.
Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files as well as reconciling accounts.
Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures.
Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Prepare payments by accruing expenses and assigning account numbers.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, accounting, or related field
5+ years of accounting experience
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
High degree of attention to detail and multi-tasking
Strong time management and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Knowledge of Sage Intacct strongly preferred
