Job Summary Facilitate the entire grant lifecycle (pre‑ and post‑award) for the university. Coordinate cross‑departmental efforts to research, prepare, finalize, submit, and follow‑up on industry, foundation, and government grants. Draft proposals, develop budgets, manage submissions ensuring deadlines are met, reconcile grant financials, maintain records, communicate with funders, and cultivate relationships with foundations. Serve as a subject‑matter expert with advanced independent judgment and specialized skills.

Responsibilities

Expertise with all proposals submitted by the department.

Conduct full award administration, including set‑up, modification, and maintenance.

Review procedures and policies to ensure federal compliance; recommend updates.

Provide subject‑matter expertise for GCO activities, including industry contract review and content contribution.

Contribute to training, process development, and unit resources.

Handle complex problems independently, making recommendations for improvement.

Apply theory and practice with in‑depth understanding of the professional field.

Minimum Qualifications 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience.

Levels and Requirements:

Level I – Bachelor’s (or equivalent) + 2 years directly related experience, or Master’s. Grade P13. Pay Range: $29,913 – $68,625.

Level II – Bachelor’s + 4 years (or Master’s + 2 years) directly related experience. Grade P14. Pay Range: $32,904 – $75,487.

Level III – Bachelor’s + 6 years (or Master’s + 4 years) directly related experience. Grade P16. Pay Range: $39,815 – $91,340.

Level IV – Bachelor’s + 8 years (or Master’s + 6 years) directly related experience. Grade P17. Pay Range: $43,796 – $100,474.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Office environment, nearly continuously.

Physical requirements: mostly sitting, hearing, listening, talking. Often repetition of hand motion, walking. Seldom bending or reaching overhead.
