The County of Yolo is recruiting to fill one (1) regular, full‑time position in the class of Personnel Specialist II (Confidential) within the Human Resources Department. Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, this position is the first point of contact at the front desk, receiving and assisting customers who come into the office. Additionally the position supports payroll, personnel actions, benefits, workers’ compensation, risk management, and HRIS activities and updates.

Ideal Candidate

Skilled in computer applications with a quick ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes.

Positive, customer‑focused, self‑directed individual who enjoys working in a reception or front‑desk setting.

Comfortable in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented position serving the public and County of Yolo employees and departments.

Has experience managing confidential and/or personnel records, preferably within a government or unionized environment.

Minimum Qualifications Three (3) years of responsible clerical experience in support of various human resources functions such as personnel actions, payroll, benefits, safety/risk management, training, or other similar human resources function.

License Some positions in this classification may require incumbents to possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license, Class C or higher, to carry out job related duties. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to a physical or mental disability may request a reasonable accommodation.
