Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Pinecrest, FL
Duration: 5+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift Timings:
- Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Saturday: 6:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Position Overview:
The Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I) serves as the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients for routine health checks or critical diagnostic needs. This role involves collecting high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring adherence to established protocols. The ideal candidate will create a professional, trustworthy environment while performing procedures skillfully, safely, and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
- Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following standard procedures.
- Accurately maintain records and documentation.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and promote a positive organizational image.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical training (Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, WA).
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience required; 1+ year preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
- Proficiency in keyboard/data entry required.
Additional Details:
- Candidates must list home city and commute time on resume.
- Reliable transportation required (rideshare/bus not considered reliable).
- Must be punctual and available for scheduled shifts; excessive absenteeism/tardiness will result in termination.
- Candidates should live within a 20–25 minute commute to the worksite.
