Mount Mary University invites applications for Adjunct Clinical Instructors to support the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. Clinical faculty play a crucial role in guiding students in real-world practice settings, fostering professional growth, clinical reasoning, and compassionate patient-centered care. This role focuses exclusively on clinical teaching and supervision, with no didactic responsibilities required.
Primary Responsibilities
Supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings such as Long‑Term Care, Medical‑Surgical, or other assigned practice areas.
Provide on-site coaching, clinical demonstrations, and real‑time competency assessment.
Ensure safe, ethical, evidence-based practice aligned with course and program outcomes.
Conduct pre‑ and post‑clinical conferences to enhance clinical reflection and judgment.
Provide timely, constructive feedback and complete required student evaluations.
Communicate effectively with clinical partners and uphold institutional and regulatory expectations.
Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners.
Participate in required faculty onboarding and orientation.
Qualifications
BSN required; MSN preferred for clinical instruction.
Unencumbered RN license in Wisconsin (or eligibility for WI licensure).
Minimum of two years of clinical practice experience in the assigned specialty area.
Prior experience precepting or teaching students is desirable.
Strong communication, professionalism, and commitment to student success.
