Maintenance Supervisor

– Refresco

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Supervisor Maintenance provides leadership for the maintenance functions, ensuring proper preventive maintenance of plant and equipment, electrical troubleshooting, minimizing downtime, and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

Shift:

2nd shift, Wednesday through Saturday, 5 pm – 3 am

Essential Job Functions

PPE requirements.

Adhere to and ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards (e.g., SQF).

Lead and direct the work of other employees, with authority for hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.

Continuously improve manufacturing processes, identify and eliminate bottlenecks, and optimize maintenance and operational costs.

Ensure reliability of plant and equipment operation while satisfying safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Identify and solve safety concerns during design and manufacturing processes.

Develop hands‑on improvement processes to reduce scrap and defects, improve throughput, and document SOPs and best practices; support installation of new equipment.

Collaborate with production to modify equipment and work areas for maximum efficiency.

Maintain knowledge base on utilities and usage levels.

Stay abreast of safety, environmental, and other regulations affecting the facility.

Support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing equipment maintenance to maximize asset utilization.

Implement and ensure compliance with managerial systems, focusing on execution and oversight.

Maintain written documentation of environmental compliance.

Prepare periodic reports to satisfy environmental and safety regulations.

Review, evaluate, counsel, discipline, and discharge employees as needed to meet productivity requirements.

Evaluate and recommend improvements to product manufacturability.

Investigate and identify root causes of non‑compliance.

Develop strategies for accident reduction, energy and waste minimization.

Oversee deployment of human resources and administration of collective bargaining agreements when applicable.

Requirements Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; undergraduate degree in a related field preferred.

5–7 years of relevant experience at a manufacturing facility.

Required Skills

Proficient in Excel, Word, SAP, and PowerPoint.

Proven leadership in a production environment.

Strong team player capable of cross‑functional collaboration.

Analytical and problem‑solving skills; results oriented.

Ability to work under deadline pressures; organized, detail‑oriented, adaptable to change.

Fosters a culture of empowerment; builds trust‑based relationships; inspires growth.

Quality focus: understanding of quality standards and implementation of quality control measures.

Continuous improvement: lead lean processes, Kaizen events.

Troubleshooting: resolve process and equipment issues to minimize downtime and waste.

Documentation: accurate record keeping.

Safety and compliance: ensure OSHA, environmental, and corporate compliance; complete monthly Alchemy training.

Communication: effectively communicate with direct reports and all organizational levels; follows escalation processes.

Decision making and judgment with limited data.

People management: coach, recognize, and build relationships.

Ownership: take initiative and responsibility for tasks.

Problem solving: develop creative solutions, incorporate feedback.

Time management: optimize schedules, prioritize tasks, minimize downtime.

Physical Demands

Continuously standing or walking.

Regular moderate visual or sensory focus.

Work environment involves repetitive tasks.

Capable of working in ambient hot and/or cold seasonal environments.
