Financial Analyst

7‑Eleven The Financial Analyst – FP&A will play a key role in supporting the organization’s financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and performance management processes with a focus on Store Operations. This position will be responsible for delivering accurate financial analysis, supporting strategic decision‑making, and providing insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively across departments and various levels of financial understanding. Responsibilities
Regularly interact with Field Operations to provide financial support, verification of results and reporting. Research key P&L lines driving variance budget & forecast variance on the Income Statement. Analyze trends and other relevant information to develop operating assumptions necessary to complete Business Plans, Budgets, Mid‑Year Plan and Bi‑Monthly Forecasts. Gain a thorough understanding of key business drivers and effectively communicate analysis to support review of under‑performing stores. Address or escape Field Operations inquiries as a primary financial liaison to ensure timely, appropriate action / resolution and/or interpretation of financial implications of business activities. Participate in department initiatives to build / implement new tools for forecasting and budgeting. Work with numerous functional departments to build inputs into the forecasts / budgets. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s/4‑year degree in Business or Finance. Experience: 2+ years of extensive knowledge of financial modeling and reporting. Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with ERP (IBM Planning Analytics) and BI tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI) preferred. Ability to draft correspondence that accompanies requests for information in a clear and concise manner. Understanding of mathematical concepts necessary to make growth projections and net present value calculations. Knowledge of multi‑spreadsheet linking capabilities and ability to quickly learn systems for implementation/development. Analytical skills and ability to solve problems independently are critical. Highly organized with ability to adapt timing of tasks to meet business needs. Demonstrates ability to question results and find correct answers without bias.
