Overview
Dental Associates of Florida in Lutz is seeking a Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our clinical team. The role supports all staff and patients by answering phones, handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and assisting with treatment plans and financial arrangements. The position operates in a team-based environment with hours Monday through Friday, 7:50 am to 5:00 pm. Pay range: $18.00–$21.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service, greeting patients upon arrival and dismissal.
Answer telephone calls and respond to patient questions or concerns in accordance with DCA policies.
Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment book.
Confirm appointments, follow up on no‑shows, and manage cancellations.
Register patients on the sign‑in sheet.
Post charges and payments to patient accounts.
Check voicemail daily.
Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients.
Qualifications
Experience working in a dental office.
Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO).
Experience answering telephone and managing patient inquiries.
Exceptional customer service skills.
