This position is based in Los Angeles, CA. Hybrid working schedule. Role Overview

The Festival Cost Analyst lives within the Finance and Production departments at Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP) and serves as a critical bridge between creative vision and financial discipline. This role provides detailed and actionable cost analysis for all DWP festivals, ensuring that budgets are tightly managed, cost variances are minimized, and financial insights directly inform operational decisions. The ideal candidate thrives in a live event environment, possesses exceptional analytical skills, and can translate complex data into meaningful insights for producers and executives. Key Responsibilities

Partner with Festival Producers, Department Heads, and the FP&A team to analyze festival costs in real time. Build and maintain detailed, bottom‑up budgets across all production categories (e.g., talent, site ops, security, hospitality, and travel). Review vendor contracts, bids, and settlements to ensure cost accuracy and identify savings opportunities. Conduct detailed variance analysis between budget, forecast, and actuals for each festival. Collaborate with Corporate FP&A to support the annual festival budgeting cycle and rolling forecasts. Prepare and distribute weekly cost reports and budget vs. actual summaries for department heads. Maintain historical cost databases and trend reports to improve predictability and future budgeting accuracy. Build and maintain dashboards and models tracking per‑attendee costs, margin impacts, and category‑level efficiencies. Prepare post‑festival financial reconciliations and insight decks highlighting drivers of overages or efficiencies. Support audit and internal review processes through documentation, cost transparency, and accurate reporting. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in live events, entertainment, or festival production. Strong Excel and/or modeling skills; familiarity with Planful, NetSuite, or similar tools preferred. Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross‑functionally across Finance and Production teams. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Passion for live music, events, and festival culture. Willingness to travel and be on‑site for major DWP festivals, working long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed. Benefits
