Winthrop & Weinstine is seeking a knowledgeable and driven Legal Assistant to work in our Real Estate Department. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Essential Job Functions
Draft and revise organizational documents.
Create and help maintain closing checklists.
Act as a liaison between attorney and client, facilitating communication and transmittal of necessary information.
Advise and communicate regularly with team regarding status of client matters.
Assist team with deal closings.
Handle closing book and other related post-closing matters.
Send and track signature pages and original documents.
Calendar important deal closing dates.
Keep clients’ electronic files up to date with current organizational documents.
Monitor attorney inbox and electronically file client matters.
Open client files.
Process client invoices and attorney reimbursements.
Process document comparisons.
Form entities and obtain certificates from the Secretary of State and IRS.
Complete other projects and assignments as assigned.

Job duties may require time over 37.50 hours per week.
Qualifications – Required
Excellent computer and communication skills.
Experience with MS Office.
Excellent grammar, proofreading skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Qualifications – Preferred
At least one year of corporate legal administrative assistant experience in a law firm.
Interest in real estate industry.
Strong typing skills (speed and accuracy).
Experience in a legal office.
Experience in providing administrative support functions.
Experience with iManage, InTapp.
Working Conditions
Requires use of office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers.
Requires sitting and computer‑related activities for extended periods of time.
Requires occasional lifting up to and exceeding 20 pounds.
Salary & Benefits
Candidates who are newer to this type of role: $48,000–$66,000.
Candidates with growing proficiency: $56,000–$75,000.
Candidates with advanced, specialized knowledge: $67,500–$80,000.
Candidates with extensive, strategic‑level experience: up to $91,000.
