Base pay range $85,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr
Enterprise Buyer / Planner GPAC is seeking an experienced Enterprise Buyer / Planner for a confidential manufacturing client to ensure material availability, optimize inventory levels, and support production schedules across its operations and affiliated companies. This role is responsible for purchasing, sourcing, supplier coordination, inventory optimization, logistics oversight, and procurement financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Place purchase orders aligned with forecasts, sales demand, and production schedules
Lead and participate in sourcing activities, including RFPs, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations
Identify sourcing options for new ingredients and materials, assessing cost, quality, logistics, and supply stability
Serve as a primary liaison between internal project leads and suppliers to communicate forecast updates
Monitor open purchase orders, ensure on-time delivery, and proactively resolve supply issues
Expedite or defer orders based on changes in production schedules or inventory levels
Establish and continuously optimize inventory levels based on demand variability and lead times
Coordinate material flows during product changes, obsolescence, and new supplier or material introductions
Manage intercompany material movements and oversee logistics for domestic and imported raw materials
Resolve PO‑to‑invoice discrepancies, quality issues, returns, and supplier performance concerns
Partner with finance and accounting to track procurement costs, inventory value, savings, and KPIs
Manage standard and allocated material costs to support accurate product costing and margin analysis
Analyze and report purchase price variance (PPV), forecasting accuracy, and inventory cost impacts
Maintain accurate ERP material master data, including MOQ, lead times, and safety stock parameters
Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, inventory management, and reporting processes
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Logistics, or related field
5-7 years of experience in a Buyer, Planner, Material Scheduler, or Inventory Management role within manufacturing
Food or feed manufacturing experience preferred
Strong knowledge of forecasting, MRP, inventory management, sourcing, and procurement finance
Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and reporting capabilities
Experience working with ERP systems
Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity in a fast‑paced environment
