Role Overview The Regional Achievement Manager will strengthen instructional capacity and improve student outcomes for multilingual learners across Tennessee, collaborating closely with campus leaders, teachers, and the program team.
Essential Functions Design
Collaborate with the program team and regional leadership to tailor Rocketship resources to the regional context.
Develop, curate, and distribute teacher‑facing instructional supports such as unit and lesson plans, model videos, and exemplar artifacts.
Align instructional materials with regional assessments and standards, ensuring format and content consistency.
Coaching
Provide feedback and coaching to teachers on lesson plans, conceptual knowledge delivery, and differentiated instruction.
Lead professional development for school leaders and teachers in core content areas, small‑group instruction, and MLL integration.
Offer in‑person coaching during classroom observations and collaboration with Directors of Schools and instructional managers.
Data‑Driven Leadership & Planning
Evaluate implementation of academic priorities and identify instructional levers for student growth.
Support schools in analyzing student data (e.g., MAP, Unit Assessments, ELPA21) to inform instructional decisions.
Ensure timely execution of region‑wide assessments and coordinate with the NeST support teams.
MLL Compliance & Case Management
Stay current on regional, state, district, and authorizer accountability requirements.
Communicate with local agencies and coordinate with school teams on compliance implications.
Design and oversee MLL compliance systems and case‑management processes for Tennessee.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of classroom teaching experience with demonstrable achievement results.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of school leadership experience with a record of managing adults toward achievement outcomes.
Physical Demands The role requires regular talking, hearing, and communication with adults and children; use of hands and fingers; standing, walking, sitting, and reaching; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; and occasional ladder climbing.
