Bench Facilities Director
SSC Services for Education (SSC), a nationwide best‑in‑class facility service provider and part of Compass Group, is hiring a Bench Facilities Director. The role provides management support to new and existing SSC accounts in K‑12 or higher‑education settings. Travel is required, often including overnights, and candidates must be open to relocating outside the Dallas area.
Job Summary As a Facilities Director, you will be the cornerstone for the overall cleanliness, sanitation, and security of assigned buildings. Your primary focus will be coordinating janitorial activities, ensuring compliance with company guidelines, supervising staff, and maintaining high‑quality standards that contribute to customer satisfaction and a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate seamless communication between shifts to ensure the completion of tasks.
Train workers in janitorial methods, procedures, and proper operation of equipment.
Issue supplies and equipment to workers, ensuring quality and timely delivery of services.
Conduct daily inspections and follow through on all assignments to guarantee task completion.
Cross‑train and develop personnel for multiple positions, promoting a versatile workforce.
Conduct weekly staff reports and inspections, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Meet with staff regularly to review task completion and plan for future projects.
Secure buildings after work, demonstrating attention to security measures.
Guide project completion to ensure timely and within‑budget outcomes.
Report and address budgetary issues effectively.
