Sapphire Recruitment is seeking an experienced
Materials Planner
to support a growing manufacturer by coordinating materials, production requirements, and customer demand. This role serves as a key link between sales, procurement, and operations to ensure accurate planning, efficient workflow, and strong inventory control.
What You’ll Do
Plan and manage materials to support production schedules and customer orders
Enter and maintain sales orders, work orders, and purchase order data in the MRP system
Coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely delivery of materials
Manage inventory levels, monitor demand trends, and resolve shortages or changes
Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support cost and usage accuracy
Improve kitting processes and workflow efficiencies
Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions to support a strong MRP structure
Track production volume and report on supply chain performance
What You Bring
6+ years of related experience in manufacturing or supply chain planning
Strong understanding of MRP systems (Sage and MISys highly preferred)
Proficiency in inventory management practices
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to make independent decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma or equivalent required
