Project Manager – Operations Global Engineering Maintenance Sustainability (GEMS)
Amazon is seeking a Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the execution of successful new build infrastructure and expansion/retrofit projects within our Operations Global Engineering Maintenance Sustainability (GEMS) Organization. This role leads a team of support personnel and coordinates the resources needed to launch new and complex projects, aiming to achieve timelines, stay within budget, and drive standardization across our network.
Key Responsibilities
Manage new and existing programs, successfully delivering difficult projects and goals across multiple organizations.
Partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones, and drive delivery.
Own program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), and escalating as appropriate.
Influence design and development of strategic processes.
Work with program managers and business leaders to communicate and impact critical business initiatives.
Develop, implement, and govern the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned program, project, or sub‑task.
Provide accountability while reporting on status, asking for help, and immediately escalating issues and problems as necessary.
Responsible for overall project schedule that enables the teams to be successful based upon the project milestones and Go‑Live.
Position includes travel up to 80% (nationwide).

Monday – Travel to location (Uber, Airport, Rental Car) / 3PL Schedule Review Meeting / Emails / PO Approval / Inventory Tracking.
Tuesday – Stakeholder Weekly Meeting / Site Walk / Budget Report / Meetings / Project Incentive Work.
Wednesday – Safety Walk / Order Review with Procurement / Non-Inventory Review with Site 3PL / Risk Management / PMO Reporting.
Thursday – Travel home (Uber, Airport, Rental Car) / Emails / Meetings / Invoice Approvals / Risk Review / Safety Reporting.
Friday – Update Source – Project Schedule/Risk Maintenance / File Travel Expenses / Book Travel 3 Weeks Out / Document Lessons Learned / Team Meeting / One‑on‑One / Project Meetings / Update Travel Calendar. Exceptional organizational skills are required to maintain a successful work‑life harmony.

Basic Qualifications
2+ years of program or project management experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience in a highly analytical, results‑oriented environment with cross‑functional interactions.
Experience with Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, VLOOKUP, VBA, and data links.
Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology.
