Position Summary:
The Business Development Representative builds the next chapter of our partner's growth. Success in this role means consistently generating net-new customers, producing clear insight into emerging market opportunities, and doing both with our trademark mind-blowing service and commitment to continuous improvement.
Based in Fort Collins, you will research prospects, craft outbound outreach, and guide first-time buyers from initial conversation through close—bridging between clients and our estimating, design, and production teams to ensure clarity, feasibility, and alignment. You will identify and validate new market segments, shape early go-to-market strategies, and help develop a repeatable new-business engine in a company primed for growth. This role thrives on autonomy, curiosity, and collaboration inside a fast-moving custom fabrication environment.
Core Responsibilities
Build and manage a pipeline of net-new opportunities through outbound prospecting (phone, email, social, events, networking).
Lead first-time buyers through the full sales cycle (discovery, quoting, closing, and production handoff) while staying their primary point of contact through delivery.
Identify and validate new markets by researching industries, testing outreach, analyzing effectiveness, and sharing insights with leadership.
Collaborate cross-functionally with estimating, design, production, and logistics to propose the right solutions at the right price and timeline.
Maintain impeccable CRM hygiene: accurate forecasting, next steps, and notes; no stale leads or unclear stages.
Work with leadership and marketing to refine messaging, targeting, and outbound campaigns.
Other Duties
Participate in weekly sales meetings; report activity, pipeline health, and market findings.
Gather and share client feedback to support product and marketing improvement.
Coordinate with the Production Manager to ensure proposed timelines fit current workflow and capacity.
Support collaboration with marketing on outreach campaigns, segment experimentation, and content needs.
Travel occasionally for client meetings, trade events, or market exploration.

Ability to travel on occasion.
Nice‑to‑Have
Experience in custom fabrication, exhibits, events, retail displays, or engineered‑to‑order products.
Background selling into art, museum, retail, or brand‑activation markets. Potentially with a book of business.
Familiarity with lean/continuous improvement cultures.
