The ideal candidate will reside in the Greater Detroit Area .

Responsibilities

Enhance the safety culture by demonstrating safe work practices and ethics.

Conduct 3-5 store visits per day across a multi-state region focused on big box home improvement retailers.

Provide product presentations and training on selling skills, installation and technical information.

Develop and manage relationships at each store location with various store managers and associates.

Maintain active engagement with contractor, contractor sales, and outside sales teams.

Participate in store contractor events and luncheons as needed.

Execute merchandising and maintain integrity of point‑of‑purchase material and displays outside current retailer agreements.

Track and report sales call activity via CRM, and participate in monthly conference and weekly/bi‑weekly team calls.

Maintain CRM data for comps, competitive POG set data.

Promote and foster the One CertainTeed approach across retailers.

Identify opportunities to expand product offering in‑store, on‑shelf and online.

Support product launches, new sets and rollouts.

Achieve sales goals and provide outstanding customer service.

Collaborate with National Account Managers – Retail across respective accounts.

Participate in sales team meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience in building materials and/or retail sales is a plus.

Knowledge of marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, and sales techniques.

Strong communication skills – presenting, active listening, influencing both oral and written.

Interest in promoting and demonstrating building materials.

Strong organizational and analytical skills and ability to multi‑task.

Online meeting management skills.

Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Potential for growth within the building material business.

Pay Range The national pay range for this position is

$70,000

to

$108,000

per year, with an annual bonus target of

9%

of base salary.

Total target cash range (base pay plus bonus) is

$76,300

to

$117,700 . Bonus payments vary based on performance and are not guaranteed.
