Our manufacturing facility is located in Monmouth Junction, NJ. We have an immediate need for several temporary Packaging Technicians/Operators on 1st and 2nd shift.
Shift Schedule 1st shift: Monday‑Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
2nd shift: Monday‑Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM
Summary The Packaging Technician is responsible for supporting and assisting in the packaging of a range of pharmaceutical products in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) standards, and batch‑record specifications. The technician operates and maintains assigned packaging equipment, and documents all activities to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Primary duties/responsibilities
Supports and assists in packaging pharmaceutical products according to SOPs, cGMPs, FDA standards, and batch‑record specifications.
Performs day‑to‑day packaging process activities, monitoring and supporting equipment such as fillers, cappers, labelers, cartoners, bundlers, and shrink wrappers to ensure efficient packaging.
Assists in equipment set‑up, change‑over, and test runs for various batch sizes and products.
Collaborates with production staff and other departments.
Accurately and consistently completes and documents batch records and required paperwork.
Precisely follows work orders and specifications.
Adheres to all plant safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of work experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, matrixed team environment.
Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
Willingness to work additional hours as required by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of good manufacturing systems and familiarity with regulatory and manufacturing SOPs and cGMPs.
Packaging experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Associate’s degree or some college coursework.
Physical Requirements
Manufacturing‑based position.
Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Anticipated pay rate: $17–$19 /hour. Pay rate will be determined after assessment of candidate education and experience relative to job requirements and consideration of industry standards and internal equity.
