Overview
Nuclear Medicine Tech
is under minimal supervision, performs basic Nuclear Medicine procedures as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing healthcare services to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. Employment practices will not be influenced or affected by an applicant’s or employee’s race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status or any other legally protected status. Responsibilities
Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures as directed by a licensed physician.
Apply professional judgment in delivering healthcare services for diagnosis or treatment across age groups.
Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine
Minimum Experience 2-5 years in Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine
Required Certifications/Licensure
Current registry or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine, or the CNMT
Current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license
Required Courses/Completions
Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
Additional Notes We comply with federal, state, and local laws regarding mandatory vaccination. If exempt, you will be required to undergo regular testing in accordance with the law.
