Key Responsibilities
Design HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial buildings, including air distribution, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems.
Perform mechanical load calculations, equipment selection, duct and pipe sizing, and layout design.
Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and energy efficiency requirements (e.g., IMC, IECC, ASHRAE).
Prepare construction documents including mechanical drawings, specifications, and schedules using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in HVAC load calculation software (e.g., Trane TRACE, HAP) and design tools (Revit, AutoCAD).
Strong understanding of mechanical codes and standards.
Familiarity with energy modeling and sustainable design practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
EIT certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Experience with LEED or other green building standards.
Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.
