The successful candidate will develop and optimize analytical methods using HPLC/UPLC/LCMS/GC and physical‑chemical techniques, maintain lab instrumentation, and communicate results to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of diverse organic compounds to investigate their behavior in agrochemical formulations.
Apply standard concepts, practices, and procedures in a high‑throughput analytical chemistry laboratory environment.
Plan and accomplish diverse, fast‑paced analytical workflows with limited oversight.
Execute routine and non‑routine benchtop analytical tasks as requested by customers and stakeholders.
Develop and optimize methods for determining chemical compositions of agrochemical formulations and related sample matrices using HPLC/UPLC/LCMS/GC.
Conduct physical‑chemical characterization techniques (density, particle size, viscosity, surface tension, contact angle, DSC/TGA, optical/electron microscopy, FTIR/NIR/UV‑Vis spectroscopy).
Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
Communicate effectively with diverse/demanding customers and stakeholders across R&D, manufacturing, and product supply.
Respond to collaborator/partner inquiries and analytical/data troubleshooting/reporting requests in a timely manner.
Ensure meticulousness and high data quality in all analytical work.
Prepare complex liquid and solid matrices for qualitative and quantitative analyses.
Lead efforts to improve existing analytical methods and develop new methods as needed.
Write reports and interpret/report analytical results to stakeholders representing early R&D to manufacturing and product supply.
Requirements & Preferences
BS in Analytical Chemistry or a closely related field.
1–3 years of relevant experience.
Hands‑on experience and proficiency in preparing complex agrochemical sample matrices for analysis with HPLC/UPLC/LCMS/GC and physical‑chemical techniques.
