$36 - $42 per hour based on experience

Position Summary As a HVAC Lead Installer, your job is to complete and supervise the installation of gas furnaces, heat pumps, ACs, ductless heat pumps, water heaters, mechanical ventilation systems, and seismic shutoff valves. Additionally, you may be needed to perform maintenance, and service calls on equipment for existing or new clients. You are responsible for protecting the client's property and holding your team to the highest standards of safety and professionalism. We expect that you will responsibly and respectfully supervise and train any apprentices or helpers on your team.

Qualifications

5 years experience in install and/or service (bonus points if you've done some of each!)

At least 1‑2 years as a Lead Installer

Advanced knowledge of layout, design, and installation of residential HVAC systems

Proficient in flaring, brazing, and working with copper lines

Proven ability to troubleshoot various systems and difficult installs

In depth understanding of inverted mini split and ducted systems

Demonstrated customer service skills and excellent client communication

Demonstrated leadership skills in addition to the willingness and ability to train others

Proper time management and delegation skills. You are able to efficiently manage co‑workers based on skills and abilities in order to utilize time most efficiently.

Clean safety record with knowledge of best practices for workplace safety

Proficiency with HVAC low voltage systems

Ability to test and balance residential HVAC systems

Knowledge of applicable building codes in Portland Metro area

Valid driver's license

Currently hold a valid EPA 608 refrigerant handlers card

Able to obtain and maintain a Residential Water Heater installer License

Spanish language fluency is a huge plus

Prior experience and knowledge of Mitsubishi, Panasonic, and Rheem HVAC systems is a major advantage
