CEI Inspector – HNTB

What You’ll Do
Observe, document, and verify work performed by construction contractors to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans, confirming procedures are followed and materials conform to specifications.
Utilize engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work.
Maintain inspector daily reports of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, and quantity of material received and verified.
Perform on‑site material testing and produce as‑constructed sketches as required.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction‑related experience.
All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Recognizes and escalates discrepancies or conflicts within documents.
Interprets and understands schedules to provide feedback.
Operates relevant testing equipment for assigned duties.
Understands Microsoft Office Suite and other computer skills at an advanced level.
Calculates complex pay quantities.

Receives general supervision from and assists the Senior Inspector in the performance of duties.
