We’re seeking a
Construction Project Manager II
to oversee a portfolio of projects—tower inspections and maintenance, tower decommission, tower drop and swap, and Edge new‑build—throughout their entire lifecycle. The Project Manager II assembles project teams, defines responsibilities, allocates resources and budgets, and develops schedules to ensure timely, on‑budget completion while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage and lead all project phases from inception to completion and handoff.
Maintain an understanding of site status reports, contracts, electrical/grounding, site plans, and drawings.
Enforce SBA’s safety regulations and policies for construction and maintenance.
Manage the financial aspects of construction (POs, budgets, job close‑out).
Ensure quality construction is performed within the established budget and schedule while maintaining a good customer experience.
Develop and manage project plans and budgets.
Obtain all necessary permits for construction (building/electrical).
Build strong relationships with customers, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors/consultants.
Oversee and direct assigned work of subcontractors and third‑party vendors.
Develop methods to track and report progress, status, and variances in a timely manner.
Establish rapport with outsourced vendors of engineering and specialty construction services.
Ensure contract scope and deliverable schedules are met with minimal change order requests.
Exhibit thought leadership and creativity in improving efficiency and reducing project costs.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in defining and optimizing all end‑to‑end processes.
Work cross‑functionally with other team members and groups within the organization.
Participate in siting decisions with Land & Leasing and ZAP team to ensure feasibility metrics are adhered to.
Collaborate with the Zoning Team to ensure site design meets jurisdiction requirements with IRR model discipline.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred; 3–5 years of project management experience in construction or site development projects.
Prior experience managing construction projects, including subcontractor management to completion, is strongly preferred.
Experience managing subcontractors to the completion of and in conformance with schedule, customer requirements, and budget guidelines preferred.
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) – PMI preferred.
