Electro-Mechanical Engineer
Overview
VIDAR seeking an engineer who combines electromechanical design and analysis with handson testing, and field commissioning of motordrive systems. You'll support design, lab validation, customer installations, and crossfunctional operations.
Responsibilities
Design complex electromechanical components and systems; develop CAD models and drawings.
Perform FEA/CFD/thermal analysis and testing of complex electro-mechanical systems.
Assemble, install, and test electromechanical systems in the lab.
Lead/assist installation and commissioning of VIDAR motors at customer sites.
Diagnose and resolve electromechanical/mechanical issues; perform root cause analysis; recommend system improvements.
Support safety and agency certification (UL, IEC, NEMA, ATEX).
Coordinate with manufacturing, logistics, suppliers, and customers to support releases and operational workflows.
Prepare technical reports on results and design decisions
Travel:
Up to 25%.
Qualifications
B.S./M.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
1+ years in electromechanical design & testing (industrial motor/drive experience preferred).
Proficiency in Pro/E/Creo and related tool suites.
Experience with electric motors, and mechanical alignment.
Knowledge of ANSI/ASME, NEMA, and IEC motor standards.
Strong communication, problemsolving, and documentation skills.
