Job Summary and Qualifications What you will do in the Role:

Demonstrate competency in all areas of computerized tomography (CT), positioning, procedure preparation, and technical factors associated with the CT Systems.

Use all other equipment used in CT Scan such as power injectors, stereotactic biopsy equipment, biopsy and drainage needles and devices, and any other devices/equipment used in CT.

Operate the Radiology Imaging System, Meditech (schedule exams, track patients, track images, complete exams, capture charges).

Provide care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Follow safety policies and procedures, recognize impending crisis situations, institute measures to prevent further complications, and report to supervisor.

Maintain cleanliness and inventory of the CT rooms, including equipment and facilities; follow disinfection techniques, restock supplies, and clean carts or work area at the completion of each shift.

Complete assignments independently and work as part of a team; take instructions, exercise problem‑solving skills, and interact professionally with co‑workers, supervisors, patients, vendors, and the public.

Possibly access radiopharmaceuticals, contrast agents and other non‑controlled medications as appropriate.

Possibly witness waste and/or inventory‑controlled substances with another authorized individual.

Support the mission and vision of Methodist Healthcare System and achieve facility goals.

Learn and comply with system and facility safety policies; use appropriate safety equipment; report unsafe conditions; consult supervisors as needed.

Adhere to the MHS Code of Conduct and demonstrate ethical behavior; report any activity that may violate applicable laws or the Code.

Complete other duties as assigned.

Integrate current scientific knowledge and technology into work practices; participate in orientation and training of new employees and students; complete annual job skills/competency checklists.

Possibly facilitate cross‑training in other functions for flexible staffing.

Participate in Radiology Department Dosewatch monitoring; assist in data collection, reviewing and revising the program to meet accreditation, hospital goals, and policies; demonstrate knowledge of ongoing CT radiation safety measures.

Qualifications

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Accepted certifications: (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer, (ARRT‑CT) Computed Tomography, or (ARRT‑R) Radiography.

Associate Degree.

Methodist ER Nacogdoches serves the Northeast and surrounding area. We are a 24/7 freestanding emergency center featuring 7 all‑private treatment rooms and a full range of services such as radiology, a full‑service laboratory and telemetry. We provide 24‑hour monitoring and testing for critical patients and transport them to a Methodist hospital in San Antonio when needed.
