Overview
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer Systems to join our Space Systems Sector in Huntsville, Alabama. This position involves working on engineering models, developing system architecture diagrams, and collaborating with Integrated Product Teams. This opportunity is contingent on program funding; start dates are determined after funding confirmation. Responsibilities
Maintain engineering models and develop system architecture diagrams Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams to satisfy program goals Work with the planning team to create conceptual data models and data flows Design, develop, and document systems using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility Implement data strategies and develop physical data models Coach team members on requirements, architecture, design, and implementation in the model Assist MT lead with task prioritization and delegation to meet IPT objectives Basic Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 14 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 12 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 10 years of related professional/military experience Experience developing model-based systems engineering products in Cameo or similar tools Experience developing model-based systems engineering products and/or Mission Engineering Experience modeling software systems and software system of systems Familiarity with network, commercial cloud, and platform infrastructures Familiarity with containerized software architecture Experience modeling in a software product line engineering (PLE) environment Experience with Systems engineering tools (e.g., Cameo Suite) and Agile framework Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Modeling and Simulation Familiarity with MagicGrid Methodology Familiarity with Digital Engineering processes and environments Knowledge of MOSA – Modular Open Systems Approach, and interfaces definition, development, and control Experience integrating complex systems across multiple domains Experience demonstrating concepts to management and customers Compensation and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $179,600.00 - $269,400.00. This range represents a general guideline; base salary offers consider factors such as scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus may apply. Bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Employees in VP or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
