Group Leader - Land Development/Civil Engineering
Ardurra, a leading engineering consulting firm, is hiring an experienced Civil Engineering leader for our Land Development practice in South Carolina.
Our civil engineers, urban planners, and staff scientists collaborate daily to design sustainable environments, offering services from due diligence and master planning to construction administration.
As Group Leader, you will lead and grow a team performing design work, research, and preparation of drawings and designs for site layout, horizontal utilities (water, wastewater, stormwater), site grading, and drainage. Projects span municipalities, private clients, data centers, high‑end residential, education, municipal, mixed‑use, and some industrial sectors.
Primary Function Lead, support, and deliver a variety of land‑development projects for our clients, ensuring exceptional client service, business performance, and team mentoring. Innovation and collaboration are highly valued.
Primary Duties
Monitor and evaluate the operations of the South Carolina Land Development Group
Coordinate tasks, motivate team members, foster positive communication, and resolve conflicts
Track budget, schedule, and quality of projects within the group
Prepare proposals to obtain new work
Maintain strong relationships with local municipalities and agencies in South Carolina
Provide technical leadership and mentor team members at all levels
Supervise staff and recruit new team members as needed
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related discipline
PE license in South Carolina highly preferred
Minimum 12 years of directly applicable experience
Strong organizational skills and the ability to function efficiently within a team environment
Proficiency with AutoCAD and other design software, preferably Civil3D
