Job Summary Join a dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, where your expertise is essential in maintaining and repairing critical machinery across diverse operational sites worldwide. In this role, you will ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of heavy material‑handling equipment such as mobile cranes, straddle carriers, and reach stackers.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on heavy equipment, including mobile cranes, straddle carriers, and reach stackers.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical system failures with precision.

Test repaired equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with manufacturer standards.

Dismantle, rebuild, and reassemble equipment using appropriate rigging, tools, and techniques.

Identify and order necessary repair parts utilizing manuals, schematics, and supplier references.

Rebuild engines, transmissions, and other vital components as needed.

Provide field service support across various domestic and international locations.

Participate in after‑hours or weekend standby duty as required.

Document work orders and repair activities accurately to maintain detailed maintenance records.

Coordinate repair schedules with operational teams to minimize downtime.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in equipment maintenance preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy equipment repair, maintenance, and operation.

Valid non‑commercial driver’s license and ability to obtain a U.S. passport.

Certifications in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems are advantageous.

Physical capability to frequently bend, twist, climb, kneel, and lift up to 80 lbs.

Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

Strong reading skills for wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

Familiarity with fabrication and welding techniques, and knowledge of safety standards.

Owns professional‑grade hand tools, including wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, pliers, test equipment, and power tools.
