Responsibilities
Help maintain and repair class 8 trucks, trailers including hydraulic repair, brake work, electrical repairs and welding
May perform service repairs in the field
May have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of units from small fleet vehicles, class 8 trucks and trailers
Complete all paperwork that may be necessary
Must have own basic hand tools, Knife River does provide job specific, any large tooling needed and has a replacement policy
Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed
Other duties assigned as needed
Hours: 9:00 pm - 6:00 am (Later start / finish time available). Sunday–Thursday or Monday–Friday available.
Minimum Qualifications
Previous mechanical experience on class 8 trucks and trailers
Strong troubleshooting skills
Welding and fabrication experience desirable
Ability to pass a pre‑employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen
Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members
