Base pay range
$75,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr
MEP STAFF is the #1 MEP Engineering and Construction Recruitment Firm in the United States. We are working with several Architects and MEP Consulting Firms in and around Los Angeles, Orange County, and across the country seeking Mechanical Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers.
We have openings for candidates with various levels of experience designing HVAC, Plumbing, Piping, and/or Fire Protection systems on commercial and industrial projects. Typical projects include healthcare, mission critical, science/technology, educational, government/federal, retail/hospitality, and commercial/mixed-use residential.
What you will do:
Examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects
Design mechanical systems including calculations of heating and cooling loads while adhering to the firm’s QA/QC process
Select and layout mechanical equipment such as pumps, chiller, fans, and boilers
Develop project specifications
Attend meetings with architects, owners, and building managers to discuss future and or current projects
Key skills and abilities needed for the positions are:
Skill in the use of AutoCAD, REVIT, Navisworks, Trace, and Bluebeam
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Education and experience requirements are:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
