About the Role We are seeking an experienced

Quality Engineer

to join our elite aerospace and defense manufacturing team. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with rigorous industry standards (AS9100, ISO9001, and customer‑specific requirements) while driving continuous improvement across all quality processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining, complex assemblies, and hard metals (e.g., titanium, Inconel, stainless steels), with the ability to partner closely with engineering, operations, and customers to maintain world‑class quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO9001, and customer requirements.

Support First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 and customer specifications.

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurrence of quality issues.

Perform internal audits and support external customer/regulatory audits.

Collaborate with engineering and operations to develop process controls, inspection plans, and risk mitigation strategies.

Review and approve manufacturing documentation, test results, and inspection reports.

Manage nonconformance reports (NCRs), material review board (MRB) activities, and support disposition decisions.

Monitor quality performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvement initiatives.

Partner with suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure incoming materials meet requirements.

Train and mentor production and inspection staff on quality standards and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.

3+ years of experience in quality engineering, ideally within aerospace and defense manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, and industry regulations (ITAR, NADCAP a plus).

Experience with FAI (AS9102), GD&T, and precision machining processes.

Skilled in using quality tools: root cause analysis, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and control plans.

Proficient with metrology equipment, CMMs, and other precision inspection tools.

Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.

US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required (due to ITAR compliance).
