2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic – Oldcastle Infrastructure

Job Summary This union role will be responsible for assisting in preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of manufacturing equipment. Job Responsibilities
Maintain plant production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment Complete preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshoot malfunctions Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; use precision measuring and testing instruments Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitor compliance Conduct machine installs and repairs, maintenance and facilities repair, including electrical, mechanical, welding, fabrication of special parts as needed Job Requirements
High school, trade school, or at least two years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong electrical and mechanical experience, preferably in an industrial environment Technical understanding and basic safety knowledge Knowledge of basic hand and power tools Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Compensation
