This position requires skills in project and people management and a strong interest in joining a growing company. It provides oversight for aerial and underground telecommunication construction projects within an assigned area, ensuring each project is completed according to design, budget, and schedule throughout its lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Single point of contact to manage deployment, execution, and closeout of fiber optic projects including FTTCS, FTTB, FTTH, backhaul, backbone, and metro fiber ring build-outs in rural, residential, and metropolitan areas.
Lead construction teams within residential, rural, and metropolitan areas, including in‑house crews and subcontractors.
Manage project budget, scope definition, and lifecycle with P&L responsibilities under Director’s direction.
Track and manage project milestones and timelines. Review and approve in‑house and subcontractor daily production reports, create and maintain progressive project documentation.
Ensure safety and quality policies and expectations are met.
Coordinate relationships with customers, city officials, jurisdictional authorities, utility representatives.
Perform on‑site surveys and coordinate field meetings to ensure project delivery/commitment dates.
Maintain accurate as‑builds to document all field changes.
Maintain inventory controls to ensure minimum levels.
Engage customers/client and establish cohesive relationships.
Listen to customers’ needs and propose solutions to resolve issues.
Communicate technical aspects of the project internally and externally clearly and concisely.
Complete routine training as assigned (LMS, OSHA‑10 hours, etc.).
