Backcountry Electric is growing! We’re looking for a journeyman electrician who takes pride in clean installs, smart planning, and clear communication. We’re a licensed crew that stays organized, shows up sharp, and does things right the first time. No chaos or guesswork. Just solid people doing solid work.
Responsibilities
Complete residential and light commercial electrical installs with clean, code-compliant workmanship
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve electrical issues on the spot
Read plans and coordinate with builders, project managers, and homeowners
Maintain a tidy, safe, well-organized job site
Help train or guide apprentices when needed
Communicate progress, needs, and issues clearly with the team
Represent the Backcountry Electric standard on-site with professionalism and respect
Qualifications
Current journeyman electrician license (Idaho or reciprocal state)
Strong understanding of NEC codes and best practices
Solid experience with residential service work, remodels, and new construction
Comfortable interacting with clients and builders in a professional way
Attention to detail and pride in delivering a clean final result
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed
