Position Overview The Healthcare Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of healthcare-related construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and deep knowledge of healthcare construction standards, compliance requirements, and project delivery methods. The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-driven, and excels in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead planning, coordination, and execution of healthcare and public works construction projects.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality control to ensure successful delivery.
Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Oversee project documentation, contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reporting.
Ensure all work complies with hospital regulations, infection control standards (ICRA), and safety protocols.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address issues proactively.
Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Mentor project engineers and field staff to promote team development.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
4+ years of project management experience in commercial construction; strong preference for healthcare project experience.
Experience with public works projects is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of healthcare codes, OSHPD/AHCA standards (or similar), and ICRA requirements.
Proven track record managing projects from $5M–$50M+.
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
