Job Description We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage the Construction Inspection Department and projects. The role involves coordinating daily work activities between Inspection Resident Project Representatives, the organization, and Project Managers.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance and oversight to construction inspectors and assist with job site inspections as needed.

Facilitate and conduct regularly scheduled construction meetings.

Coordinate and partner with contractors to schedule inspection activities and resolve field issues.

Manage a construction project’s technical and cost efforts, including leading the project team and coordinating work with various project entities to meet deadlines and budgets.

Coordinate and track multiple project activities and plan staffing requirements to ensure adequate coverage.

Oversee validation of products and materials ordered for projects to verify their conformance to specifications.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for construction procedures and safe working conditions.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

Over 10 years of construction management experience on water/wastewater utilities projects.

Proven experience in staff management and oversight, including hiring, project staffing, and performance evaluation (5+ years).

Understanding of bidding, estimating, and risk management of utility projects in water/wastewater.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting water/wastewater project drawings and specifications.

Ability to multi‑task and carry out projects with tight deadlines.

Ability to travel to job sites across Indiana with a valid driver’s license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Professional Engineer Certification is highly desired.

Experience working on federally‑funded infrastructure projects.

Experience using Procore software.

Work Environment The role requires working both in an office environment and visiting construction sites. Projects are located throughout the state and occasionally in Kentucky. Standard construction hours are from 7 AM to 4 PM, with some overtime up to 50 hours a week as needed. A company vehicle is provided for travel to job sites.

Job Type & Location Permanent position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits Pay range: $120,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year.

Workplace Type Fully onsite position in Indianapolis, IN.
