Position: Process Engineer — Advanced Manufacturing Location: Garrett, IN Join Dekko’s Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team as a Process Engineer and play a key role in how our products move from concept to consistent, reliable production. In this role, you’ll dive into the details of how work gets done on the floor, identify what slows us down and design smarter processes that make production safer, faster and more repeatable. You’ll collaborate daily with operators, engineers, quality and maintenance to solve problems, strengthen flow and support new product launches with well‑designed processes and clear documentation. What you’ll do:

Support the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes, fixtures, and tooling.

Assist in evaluating new technologies and equipment for integration into production lines.

Conduct process trials, validation studies, and capability analyses to ensure robust manufacturing outcomes.

Partner with engineers to develop work instructions, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, and control plans.

Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of process issues, driving corrective and preventive actions.

Support automation initiatives, including robotics, CNC, and advanced assembly systems.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize cycle time, quality, and throughput.

Collect and analyze process data, supporting SPC and continuous improvement initiatives.

Train operators and production staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all process activities.

What you’ll need:

Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process development, or advanced manufacturing technologies.

Hands‑on experience with manufacturing equipment setup, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Familiarity with automation, robotics, CNC machining, or advanced assembly processes.

Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, process documentation, and technical drawings.

Experience with SPC, DOE, and other statistical process tools.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Effective communicator with ability to collaborate across engineering and production teams.

Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and process excellence.

Bonus if you have:

Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Manufacturing Process Improvement.

Experience in aerospace, automotive, electronics, or specialty manufacturing industries.

Background in process validation for regulated industries (ISO, AS9100, IATF, etc.).
