Diesel Mechanic – Permanent full‑time mobile diesel technician supporting Ryder’s truck fleet in Atlanta, GA. Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and routine repairs on heavy duty diesel engines, transmissions, brakes and auxiliary systems. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues using shop tools, diagnostic software and OEM procedures. Conduct road‑test vehicles to verify repair quality and customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate repair orders, safety and environmental documentation in compliance with company guidelines. Collaborate with customers and team members to estimate repair costs and schedule service. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification preferred. Three (3) or more years of relevant diesel mechanic experience, including PM, diagnostics and major repairs. Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) (Class A preferred, Class E preferred) and ability to drive Ryder vehicles. Strong customer‑service skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, background check and road test. Benefits
